This research was carried out in El Cheve-Estero Sábalo lagoon water system in Pinar del Rio province, Cuba. In 2015-2018 period there was a 50% decrease in oyster production, so it was necessary to carry out a hydrological study of mentioned lake system (four sampling campaigns in the rainy and dry season) and to be able to diagnose the situation current of its waters, supported by a network of six stations located in the lagoon, the estuary and the adjacent sea. Among the variables evaluated are temperature, salinity, pH, transparency, turbidity and color. It was concluded that the hydrological quality values were in accordance with the environmental requirements of oyster species present in the lagoon, with greater impact on the estuary.
