PEREZ DE ALEJO, José; MIRANDA FLORES, Roberto y RODRIGUEZ RODRIGUEZ, Gilda. Ergopanin: a mellitus with an ergogenic and stimulating activity. Rev Cub Med Mil [online]. 1996, vol.25, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3046.
In an experimental fatigue model, developed in Balb/c mice, the stimulating activity of ergopanin mellitus, prepared from natural sources, was measured. Two control groups were used: saline and white mellitus, without active principles, in two kinds of oral treatments: one treatment called unique, of one single dose, and another with a 7 days duration, and an experimental group with the 10 mg/kg dose calculated from the active principles. There were no significant differences found between saline and white mellitus control groups, in none of the two treatments. Significant differences were appreciated between the saline and the experimental group, and between the white mellitus and the experimental group, in both treatments. The conclusion was that ergopanin mellitus has stimulating and ergogenic activity, at the doses used in the two treatments.
