Pausanias, a Greek from the imperial era writes The description of Greece, ten books in which, from region to region, it traces the paths worthy of being traveled and the wonders worthy of being seen. He is considered one of the first critics of architecture and art because, through his periegetic method, he establishes not only a conception of art but also the concepts and features that characterize it. This work focuses on the Pausanias traveler and compiler of antiquity, in addition to recognizing it as an antiquarian through the analysis of some case studies.
