Resumen
HERNANDEZ, María M; SUAREZ, L y VALCARCEL, Miruldis. Empleo del Pectimorf en la micropropagación de Spathiphyllum sp. cultrop [online]. 2009, vol.30, n.3, pp. 56-58. ISSN 0258-5936.
Several experiments were aimed at standardizing a sustainable methodology to achieve high plant multiplication rates in Spathiphyllum sp., in which BAP (6-Bencilaminopurine) was reduced or removed from the culture medium and substituted by Pectimorf, an oligogalacturonide mixture obtained at INCA that proved to have biological activity in vegetal species at concentrations of 5 and 10 mg.L-1. No significant differences were recorded among treatments, concerning plant height and leaf number in any evaluation performed. The treatment consisting of BAP reduced to half the concentration of the control medium (0.5 mg.L-1) and the addition of 10 mg.L-1 Pectimorf achieved the highest amount of plant sprouts. Results validate the use of Pectimorf for in vitro propagation of this highly-demanded ornamental species in our country.
