The case report of a patient who was attended in "Dr. Ayres Menezes" General Hospital from the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe is presented because of fever and skin lesions, to whom Kaposi sarcoma was diagnosed associated with infection due to the human immunological deficiency/aids virus. The torpid clinical course and the so advanced stage of the disease, as well as the resistance to the antiretroviral drugs, caused the death of the patient
