Resumen

ALVAREZ ESCOBAR, María del Carmen. Bioethical aspects in the Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. Rev. Med. Electrón. [online]. 2009, vol.31, n.4, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1684-1824.

The Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome is the last, most serious stage of the infection, presenting in general, several years after the infection with the human immunodeficiency virus, inexorably leading to death in a more or less long term. Confidentiality, resources distribution, the use of human beings in experimentation, and the development of sanitary measures for schools, working settings, prisons, and the society in general, educative campaigns, detection campaigns, informed consent, and a large etcetera are part of the bioethical dilemma affronted by the humankind. Letting know the true face of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, continuing the efforts and political will in all the nations, carrying out intensive health activities to achieve healthier lifestyles, teaching persons how to prevent the disease, are among the task the health staff has to assume.

Palabras clave : BIOETHICS; ETHICS, MEDICAL ; ACQUIRED INMUNODEFICIENCY SYNDROME; HUMANS.
