CANOVA BARRIOS, Carlos Jesús; CECILIA BONARDI, Mabel y MACHUCA-CONTRERAS, Felipe. Knowledge, attitudes, and practices of health science students towards scientific research. Luz [online]. 2023, vol.22, n.4, pp. 199-214. Epub 15-Dic-2023. ISSN 1814-151X.
Research competencies in undergraduate health sciences are established in plans and programs, but there are multiple factors that bring students and future professionals closer or further away from feeling capable of designing, conducting and publishing research projects in their disciplines. Therefore, the objective of this research is to describe the knowledge, attitudes and practices towards scientific research that students of health sciences disciplines from different educational institutions in Argentina have. A better perception towards research was found in medical students, those who belong to a student scientific society, those who have received extracurricular training in research, those who work as teaching assistants and those who have received scholarships or incentives for research. Each of them, separately, acts as a factor influencing the construction of a positive image towards research.
