BURGUET LAGO, Nancy; BURGUET LAGO, Ivonne  y  TOLOSA CUBELA, Vivian. PROFESSIONAL IMPROVEMENT OF SPECIALISTS IN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FOR THE EVALUATION OF PHARMACEUTICAL RISKS. Rev. CENIC Cienc. Biol [online]. 2024, vol.55, pp. 1-7.  Epub 01-Abr-2024. ISSN 2221-2450.

Introduction: The pharmaceutical industry requires a high level of professional performance from its labor resources. Objetive: To present a strategy of professional improvement for specialists in research and development on risk assessment. Methods: An educational investigation was carried out in the Development and Innovation Unit of the Laboratorios Aica+ Company, in the year 2023. The population consisted of 16 specialists. A practical workshop was proposed. Methods of the theoretical level such as historical-logical, systematization, structural-functional systemic and modeling were used. Empirical as initial and final diagnosis, direct observation, and performance test through a pre-pedagogical experiment. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used. The level of satisfaction of the specialists was evaluated, for which three levels were defined: satisfied, somewhat satisfied, and dissatisfied. Sé carried out an analysis of the Weaknesses, Threats, Strengths, and Opportunities of the workshop given. Result: The improvement program was implemented. The theoretical methods used made it possible to sustain the proposed strategy. The initial diagnosis evidenced the need to improve risk assessment. The final diagnosis showed a qualitative and quantitative leap in the overcoming of specialists. The descriptive statistics organized the results for a better understanding, the inferential one showed statistically significant results. The matrix showed that the strengths are superior to the weaknesses, and the threats to the opportunities. Conclusions: Direct observation, satisfaction of the specialists who received professional improvement and the pedagogical pre-experiment, validated the applicability of the proposed strategy in pharmaceutical risk assessment.
