A stability study of 2 formulations of salbutamol syrup was conducted for the methods of shelf life and accelerated stability by using the ionic-couple high resolution liquid chromatography. On applying the Arrhenius' equation to predict the expiration date and extrapolating at 30EC, values of 1.1 and 1.3 years were obtained. The results of the stability study by shelf life after 6, 12, 18 and 24 months show that the product maintains the parameters that determine its quality. No changes were observed in its organoleptic characteristics. An expiration date of 2 years was established under the above storage conditions.
