RAMOS AGUERO, David; TERRY ALFONSO, Elein; SOTO CARRENO, Francisco e CABRERA RODRIGUEZ, Juan A. Bocashi: organic manure elaborated starting from residuals of bananas production in Bocas del Toro, Panama. cultrop [online]. 2014, vol.35, n.2, pp. 90-97. ISSN 0258-5936.
The benefits of use of organic manures as Bocashi, are widely well-known at world level, although, the not very precise scientific literature on contained nutritional and practically reference is not made to the load existent microbial in these materials. The present work consisted on the elaboration of payment and its pursuit to the chemical, organic and biological properties during five later months to its production. Starting from 21 days and until the 150 days of having elaborated, the macronutrients and micronutrients contents the C:N relationship, the content of heavy metals as well as the populations of present microorganisms were determined; equally, the temperature of the mound was measured during the first 21 days. The contents of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, MO, C and C:N relation are stable during the five months of duration of the work, the contents of nutrients obtained in each evaluation moment being adapted. The presence of heavy metals is low according to the international norms and the biggest presence of microorganisms is of bacterias, demonstrating the breathing rate, the microbial activity and with it the quality of the manure. The production of Bocashi starting from the residuals of banana industry, is a viable alternative for the conservation of the agroecosystem.
