Introduction:
medical students need to create a professional life project related to a medical professional identity.
Objetive:
to elaborate a pedagogical model for a professional life project at the beginning of medical students´ identity formation.
Methods:
from January 2016 to December 2017, a development study was carried out at the Medical School Mariana Grajales Coello in Holguín. We took a sample of 67 professors and 112 students, from 1st to 5th years. They were selected by a non-probabilistic sample from a universe of 98, according to established criteria. The survey and interview offered data about professional´ life projects insufficiencies. Documentary analysis, scientific problem deep observations over Medicine career norms and quantum-qualitative approach for analysis, were also applied.
Results:
difficulties during professional life project creation. For that reason, we made a pedagogical model which establishes the relationship between the pedagogical process, initial and final medical students’ formation.
Conclusions:
the pedagogical model suits the objective.
