The worth of communicative and linguistic skills revalues the activity of the speech therapist in the educational field. There is a contradiction between the need for the speech therapist teacher to achieve effectiveness in the process of comprehensive speech therapy, in response to the demands of the pedagogical context and the lack of preparation for such performances. It is proposed as an objective: to systematize the theoretical - methodological bases of the didactic training of the speech therapist teacher so that its implications for the management of the content of the profession are connoted. In this article, the foundations of didactic training that support the conception of the aforementioned process are defined. In the development of this article, the analysis-synthesis and inductive-deductive methods, the method of historical and logical analysis, as well as the document review method are used.
