The present work was carried out in ¨1ro de Enero¨ Business Base Unit (UEB) of Ciego de Ávila Province, Cuba. Its objective was evaluating the operation indicators in the process of unloading the sugarcane that arrives by means of automotive transport, by valuing the average time vehicles remain in the reception areas and of the volumes of cane discharged per unit of time. The results obtained show that technical-organizational factors are the causes that limit the efficiency of the process, which is reflected in the low coefficient of use of the discharge time, (5.1% for the first half and 8.6% for the second half). Likewise, these coefficients influenced productivity (63.29 t/h for Scania P 360 truck and 44.89 t/h for Kamaz 53212 truck). The costs of the unloading (1.47 peso/t), of transportation (4.16 peso/t) and of both means (1.41 peso/t), respectively, were also obtained.
