The following article analyzes the risk of climate change in the coastal heritage city of Cienfuegos. As the main techniques for collecting information, the interview, the survey and the documentary content analysis are used. The methodological combination is used, the method used is a single case study and the study is exploratory. The novelty of the research is that it is part of the set of scientific policy actions in environmental matters related to the effects of climate change in the Cuban coastal area. These results, their systematization and socialization, constitute a contribution to knowledge, education and society in general, especially in coastal cities, before the effects of an environmental phenomenon of vital impact such as climate change.
