The present investigation "Frank Iraola, painter of the patrimony. His life history" has as objective to elaborate the history of this artist's life for the work carried out in the cultural development of the county of Cienfuegos. Marked by the biographical method the present work, the employment of interviews solves a lack of the Provincial Council of the plastic arts and the institutional project look another: Culture - University belonging to the University of Cienfuegos. The investigation problem to be solved is How to contribute to the artistic promotion of the life and work of Frank Iraola? through the four stages enunciated had Bid (2000). It is of interest of the Office of the Conservative of the City of Cienfuegos, the theater Tomás Terry, the Municipal Direction of Culture of Cienfuegos, among other institutions to that the artist was linked. This study is coherent with the application of the cultural politicians of the territory and reveals a part that enriches the regional history and specifically the history of the plastic arts in Cienfuegos. The methodological decisions conformed a feasible way of being used in investigations dedicated to that field of the knowledge, if it was pertinent. The investigation product is a contribution from the academy to the solution of problems in the institutional system of the culture.
