The article refers to the historical sources of early childhood education in Cienfuegos in the first half of the 20th century. The research is developed from the approaches of the History of Preschool Education in the professional training that requires a treatment of the local-regional, not having a historiography that allows its study. It is part of historical-pedagogical research to investigate the past of events, phenomena, personalities or educational processes through work with historical sources. An intentional sample of teachers and educators who trained and exercised for this teaching in Cienfuegos territory is selected, with the purpose of compiling the historical sources, in which a structured research process is carried out in three stages, obtaining as a result the compilation of the mentioned sources. The implementation of this compilation will promote a greater knowledge of the local history of early childhood education in Cienfuegos.
