The idea of writing about the Cuban landscape images, obtained by photographing spaces of an emblematic place in the city of Cienfuegos: José Martí Park, arises as a form of leisure time use, recreation and enjoyment of the authors, during the first times of their retirement.Tour the city as urban strollers in the territory, to do physical activity, take a short rest retriever of energies, sitting on benches of José Martí Park, allows the photographic treasuring of different views.Then, amusingly, the integration of this illustrious couple of the street furniture of the Cienfuegos park is discovered: the Royal Palm and the lamppost. From this perspective, the communication that the authors present as a visual, flexible and open narrative is elaborated, to highlight the friendly metaphor of the dialogue between both elements. The story is told in three times, because the images used were taken at different times of walk. They show how the cognitive gaze was broadened on each occasion, accompanied by the cultural substrate that brings the meaning of these two elements of urban furniture, to achieve the main idea of the metaphor that, born of the suggestion of the images, favored the production of a renovating energy in the authors, to enrich the quality of life, because it represents another way of counting the city's everyday life, from an evocative and pleasant urban imaginary evocative and pleasant.
