The paper is aimed at proposing a knowledge management model for virtual learning environments in healthcare. A historical-cultural approach was followed, considering the socio-technological processes involved in the structuring and arrangement of contents and learning experiences. The theoretical core of the study was constituted by three analysis categories: social interactivity of knowledge, significant learning and structural organization of knowledge management. The model integrates technological tools and knowledge management processes relevant to the context where knowledge, significant learning and social interactivity are created, facilitating professional training in the competencies and skills required to apply knowledge management in their field of activity. The paper presents a new dimension of knowledge management for virtual learning environments in healthcare. A description is provided of the interrelationships between all the participants and technology, assuming the complexity of creating, sharing and transmitting knowledge in the Ba identified.
