Resumo

This study aims to understand how the relationship between information mediation and information competencies can contribute to the process of construction/deconstruction of reality and truth in a pandemic scenario. It was characterized as research of qualitative nature, descriptive, of content analysis. Bibliographical, exploratory and documental. Advanced search with the terms “mediação de informação AND competência em informação” were made on Portal CAPES, at Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações and at the Base de dados em Ciência da Informação, between 2016 and 2020. The analysis of the thirteen articles mined resulted in the finding of the need for: collaborative, educational, awareness-raising, sharing and use of information, valuing information based on studies and contexts; studies, projects and works of critical and conscious information mediation; construction of competencies in information and skills in dealing with fake news, infobesity and manipulated information through informational policies, essentially focused on the pandemic context.
