As a result of a research Project on the development of Cuban university graduates, there is an urgent need to characterize undergraduate training, as a fundamental element. For this, some transformations in the 21 st century and their evidence in Latin America are identified, whch constitutes the objective of this article. Three phases are considered, firstly in the sistematization of information and its updating in recognized data sources. For II and III, an analysis structure is assumed, such as the name of the trend, a brief description of its content and behavior. Specialized bibliogrphy of recent years on the definitions of trends and undergraduate training was systematized. Similarity was established between the reported indicators and their evidence in the Latin American región. The main results show the political decisions with a humanist conception, transforming society and its reality from the flexibility in the curriculum, some changes in the teaching-learning process with evidence in certain components in the visión of the role of the actors, focused in the student as the protagonist of learning and the teacher as a facilitator and generator of didactics.
