At present special attention is paid to environmental problems, their solution and / or mitigation is an imminent need and that concerns all human beings, for this it is necessary as a first step to identify environmental problems in different environments. So the objective of this article is to characterize the socio-environmental conditions of the José Antonio Echeverría primary school in the municipality of Pinar del Río, Cuba. From the application of techniques such as the interview, the survey, the discussion group and the documentary analysis. The SPSS was used to tabulate the results of the diagnosis and the STATS for the calculation of the sample, which is a stratified probability with an interest in working with a representation of all the children, teachers, parents, service workers, specialists and managers of the school, according to the principle of voluntariness.
