Confronting climate change in Cuba, given its condition as an island state, is a primary concern. Rethinking this theme, beyond modern logic, implies revealing present absences from the analysis of governing documents of national significance, with the aim of expanding its meaning from socio-philosophical stakes. This goes hand in hand with the contributions made by socio-community projects anchored in the municipality of Centro Habana, which enrich the debates on this topic from the social praxis. Making visible absences present in the climate change debate in Cuba, and, at the same time, resignifying the contributions and importance of the socio-community experiences in Centro Habana, for the confrontation with climate change, constitute the objective of this work.
