RAMIREZ FAJARDO, Katia  e  RIVERA MICHELENA, Natacha. Use of information and communications technologies in Human I Morphophysiology subject, National Program of Comprehensive Community Medicine. Educ Med Super [online]. 2008, vol.22, n.3, pp. 0-0. ISSN 0864-2141.

A research study on the use of information and communication technologies in Human I Morphophysiology subject, included in the National Program of Training in Comprehensive Community Medicine, in Maracaibo, Zulia State, was conducted to characterize their use in the teaching-learning process. We worked with a sample of 63 professors and 163 students, considered as the universe of all students and professors of this subject in the course 2005-2006. Surveys were applied to the above mentioned individuals. The results were presented in tables for discussion, considering as an outcome measure the absolute numbers and percentages. We conclude the work with the identification of the most used information and communication technologies by students and professors (computers, CDs of the subject and didactic videos), and the least used (internet in students and professors, and virtual pictures in students). We identify factors related to the use of information and communication technologies in the subjects by students (age, school origin, previous knowledge of computers, and availability of the means for studying at home), and by the professors (educational training, teaching rank, ability in the use of aids and technological resources for teaching, and the time). The analysis made may contribute to the improvement of the subject and to increase the effectiveness of the educational process from the point of view of the informatics training of the students, and of the comprehensive training in teachers.
