Objective:
The paper aims at suggesting a plan of actions periodic professional renewal as a way of training the agricultural teacher in the province of Camagüey.
Methods:
The authors rely on methods of analysis-synthesis, historical-logical for revealing tendencies of technical school teacher qualification; and induction-deduction for devising a conceptual framework. In addition, the documentary review of teachers’ periodical qualification certificates and individual retraining plans to identify technical teachers’ potential and limitations.
Result:
The main finding is plan of action plan for the professional retraining of agricultural teachers of technical schools in farming enterprises.
Conclusion:
The exploration of in-service teachers’ qualification reveal limitations of agriculture teachers’ performance and the need of updating and retraining following a plan coordinated between the university and farming enterprises.
