Objective:
This paper aims at characterizing specialists’ management of the notion of life project in Cuba.
Methods:
The study is based on a grounded theory design, content analysis was applied to data processing, free and axial coding were used to identify the emerging theory.
Results:
The study reveals category management‘s main characteristics of life project construct, represented by conceptual categories which encompass a priori and emergent codes, through an analytic synthesis based on a heuristic approach of data analysis.
Conclusions:
The main characteristics are referred to a heterogeneous use of life project construct, present potentials for the development of an integrative model of life project configuration and the need of an integral approach to it.
