This article aims to analyze the impact of social networks on communication among adolescents of the "Pedro Zambrano Barcia" Educational Unit in Portoviejo. For them, a descriptive survey design applied to 250 students of the mentioned institution with ages between 13 and 18 years was used. From the very particular perspective of the adolescent objects of study, the impacts of social networks on their social life and on education were positive, however, teachers must take this issue into account within their focus of attention in the face of training. of students at these ages, since it could be compromised in some cases by excessive immersion in them.
