OLIVA GONZALEZ, Juan P et al. Somatostatin receptor scintigraphy with http://img/revistas/nuc/n62/e01046217.jpg-DOTATATE PET/CT: initial experience in Cuba. Nucleus [online]. 2017, n.62, pp. 14-23. ISSN 2075-5635.

In 1870, Rudolf Heidenhain discovered neuroendocrine cells, which can lead to the development of the Neuroendocrine Tumors (NER), a rare form of cancer, most of which express somatostatin receptors. The basis of Receptor Scintigraphy as a metabolic-molecular image is based on the use of http://img/revistas/nuc/n62/e01046217.jpg-DOTA-peptides with specific binding to somatostatin receptors. The purpose of this publication is to present our first experiences in the study of different histological types of TNE by means of Somatostatin Receptor Scintigraphy (GRS) using http://img/revistas/nuc/n62/e01046217.jpg-DOTATATE performed at the PET / CT Center and Molecular Image of the Department of Nuclear Medicine of the National Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology (Inor)

Palavras-chave : endocrine diseases; positron computed tomography; tomography; gallium 68; neoplasms.
