Reflection on interculturality in Higher Education has become a meeting space for theoretical-conceptual debate about its understanding in university contexts in recent years. In this scenario, this article identifies the discourses of interculturality in Higher Education based on a systematic review of knowledge in the Latin American context. To achieve this, 22 articles from Scielo and Jstor open-access databases published between 2018 and 2022 were selected using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses method. The search terms used were interculturality, higher education, bilingual intercultural education, and intercultural education. The analysis was carried out through the use of content matrices from hermeneutics. Among the main findings, it is deduced that interculturality is understood in ethnic and culturalist terms. Furthermore, it is inferred that the programs and curricula mainly serve the populations originating from Latin American countries through integrationist policies. Finally, the authors of the studies suggest a paradigm shift in the understanding of interculturality through the valuation of diverse knowledge, and as a design of the entire society and not only of the so-called minority groups. In conclusion, the discourses revolve around three positions: the epistemic, the political, and the cultural.
