The great incidence of gender psychological violence is seen in couple relations circle, where it is concentrated and crystallized according each gender, since each assumes as main role that of man and woman becoming more legitimate the violence expression. This situation, in couple relationships is conditioned in a greater extent, by established elements of patriarchal culture. Presence of couple psychological violence includes the fact that victim and victimizing person had a previous generally intimate relationship, that coexistence factor has been significant for violence triggering, as well as that the home be the more frequent place for its manifestation, provoking an increase in risk of similar future behaviors in its members, and may be transmitted to the new generations.
