BOUDE FIGUEREDO, Oscar e MEDINA RIVILLA, Antonio. Development of competencies in ITC-mediated learning climate in the higher education. Educ Med Super [online]. 2011, vol.25, n.3, pp. 301-311. ISSN 0864-2141.
The results of the second phase of a project carried out from 2007 to 2009 with the involvement of students from the health area of University of La Sabana were presented. The objective was to identify the competencies acquired by medical and nursing students within ICT-based learning climate. The multiple-case study was the choice since it provides insight into the practices and relationships that occur in the learning climate. Regarding specific competencies, the results indicated that 27% of students exceeded the expected levels, 60.5% achieved the expected levels and the remaining 12.5% reached the minimal level. In the generic competencies, 27.7% of students exceeded the expected levels, 64.2% achieved the expected level and the remaining 8.1% reached minimum levels. The strategy encourages the students to play a leading role in their learning and the professor to become a catalyzing agent for this process.
