We analyze a serie of 38 surgically intervened patients for congenital hypertrophic stenosis of pylorus whitin a period from five years and a half. The general objetive was to determine the adventages of the ultrasonography in the diagnosis of this entity in comparison with the contrasted radiological exam of the upperdigestive tract, emphasizing in the ultrasonography as a technique of choice in the diagnosis of this pathology. Based on the proposed aim, we reached to the conclusion that echography is the most innocuos, economic and raped technique in diagnosing Congenital hypertrophic stenosis of pylorus and we recomend that it should be the firtsimaging exam to beperformed in every infant clinically suspected.
