Femoral fracture in the child is one of the most frequent in ours milieu, thus an explicative and observational study was performed in 59 patients diagnosed and treated for this pathology at Eduardo Agramonte Piña Pediatric Hospital of Camagüey city. Masculine sex prevailed in 79, 6 % of cases. The age group with higher incidence was: up to five years and from six to ten. The most frequent localization is the third half in 64, 4 %. The associated tracema was found in 11, 8 %. The treatment most used is the conservative in 71, 1 %. Complications presented in 16, 9 %. Hospital staging prevailed from six to ten days, representing 40, 6 %.
