SELEMA DE LA MORENA, Gema e MARTINEZ PEREZ, Jorge. Efecto hepatoprotector inducido por el flavonoide Astilbina frente a un modelo animal tratado con tetracloruro de carbono. Rev Cubana Plant Med [online]. 1999, vol.4, n.1, pp. 36-39. ISSN 1028-4796.
En present study, malonyaldehyde, glutamic pyruvic transaminase (GPT), and A Phospholypase levels, were determined in female rats liver homogenate, to confirm potential antilipoperoxidant effect of flavonoid Astilbina (40 mg/g) versus toxicity model of carbon tetrachloride (0.001 ml/g), also assessing body and liver weight when animals were sacrified. Preliminary results, obtained after 18 hours of each treatment, suggest an hepatoprotective effect of flavonoid, in view of decrease in lipoperoxide levels of GPT and A2 phospholipase of < 0.05 against toxine used.
