Introduction:
vaccination against COVID 19 can elicit dissimilar responses in people's emotional balance as a consequence of facing a new possibility of treatment.
Objective:
to determine what were the main attitudes and impact on the psychological order presented by health workers in the municipality against vaccination with Abdala.
Methods:
a descriptive, cross-sectional observational study was carried out. The universe was made up of the total number of workers and students in the sector who were vaccinated (N = 1763). The variables were analyzed: attitudes towards vaccination with the candidate Abdala and psychological impact. A percentage distribution of age was made to avoid acting as a confounding variable. Descriptive statistics were used for the analysis, using summary measures (absolute frequency and percentage).
Results:
vaccinated subjects between the ages of 31-50 years predominated, which resulted in 45.89%. In the casuistry, 86, 27% of the individuals had an attitude of acceptance of the vaccine candidate. Among the psychological impacts, anxiety stood out, present in 49.06% of those immunized.
Conclusions:
attitudes and positive psychological impacts on the administration of the vaccine candidate Abdala predominated in the health personnel of the Niquero municipality, which, without a doubt, will bring about greater protection for this vulnerable group.
