A descriptive and cross-sectional study of 10 dentists and 150 patients assisted in the dentistry department of "José Martí" Teaching Polyclinic in Santiago de Cuba was carried out from October, 2008 to April, 2009, to evaluate the quality of dentist care there, taking into account different aspects related to the role of the professionals. Among the main results there was a poor practice in the work done, thus it was recommended to organize a training plan in order to improve the competence of the comprehensive integral dentists and the satisfaction of the persons assisted.
