A therapeutic intervention in 100 patients with 20-59 years, presenting external humeral epicondylitis, assisted in the Rehabilitation Department of "Eduardo Mesa Llull" Community Polyclinic, in II Frente municipality, Santiago de Cuba province was carried out from September, 2013 to March, 2014, to evaluate the effectiveness of the acupunctural treatment in them. The sample was divided into 2 groups of 50 members each, randomly selected.  Those of the study group were treated with acupuncture and Trabert current and those of  the control group received Trabert current only. The age group 40-49 years (64.0%), the female sex (66.0%) and the service workers (56.0%) prevailed as main results. It was obtained that those treated with acupuncture had a better clinical course, from where it is inferred that the used therapy was effective to decrease pain in those who received it
