PEREZ QUINTERO, Mayra e ALVAREZ NUNEZ, Rudbelckia. Lisfranc tarso-metatarsal luxation. A propos of a case. Rev. Med. Electrón. [online]. 2011, vol.33, n.1, pp. 155-119. ISSN 1684-1824.
We present the case of a male patient, aged 14 years, with diagnosis of Lisfranc fracture-luxation, more than 24 hours of evolution and compartmental syndrome, urgently operated in the Teaching Provincial Pediatric Hospital Eliseo Noel Caamaño, achieving the anatomical reduction and remission of the symptoms and signs, with a satisfactory evolution. Acute luxations are urgent lesions, and they should be reduced quickly, or pathologic alterations at a short, medium or long term may happen, including substation phenomena. We considered that knowing this kind of traumatic lesions is basic for physicians working in emergency units.
