The article presents a study about the Investigative Labor Training Discipline as main responsible for achieving the development of professional performance modes in the future teachers of Mathematics and the role that career projects can play in it. Theoretical methods such as historical-logical analysis, induction-deduction, system approach and analysis-synthesis were used in its elaboration; empirical methods such as documentary analysis, surveys, interviews and class observation; and statistical techniques such as percentage analysis. Among the main findings were the limitations of the relationship between the various documents that regulate the process of this and its function as an Integrating Principal Discipline; lack of response from the subjects that integrate it to the demands of the Discipline and inadequacies in the correspondence between the contents of its programs and the object of the pedagogical profession of the teacher of Mathematics. It was possible to conclude that the career projects are an adequate mediating strategy in the integration of knowledge that form the pedagogical professional acting mode.
