AJA DIAZ, Antonio. Challenges and opportunities for Cuba facing the migratory institutionality. Rev Nov Pob [online]. 2018, vol.14, n.27, pp. 1-13. ISSN 1817-4078.

The challenges presented by Cuba in the context of migratory institutions are discussed, a theme presented by the author at the International Seminar on Migration and Inclusion: Challenges and Opportunities for Social Protection and Decent Work Policies, organized by the Secretariat for Central American Social Integration (SISCA) and by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), from June 12 to 14, 2018, in San Salvador. The discussion on international migration, the debate in international organizations, with emphasis on Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as the conflictive migratory relationship of the region with the main recipient of its migrant population, the United States, are some addressed topics. The framework for action is based on the initiatives of the 2030 Agenda for Development, its link with the migratory issue and the possible Global Compact for safe, orderly and regular migration.

Palavras-chave : International migration; Agenda 2030; Pact of migrations; return of migrants; transnational relations; migration policies.
