GRINAN BERGARA, Dianné e BARROS DIAZ, Otilia. Population and value chains: a theoretical-methodological framework for their study. Rev Nov Pob [online]. 2018, vol.14, n.28, pp. 298-313. Epub 24-Maio-2019. ISSN 1817-4078.
The main objective of this article is to propose a theoretical framework to analyze value chains taking into consideration the labor force as an object and subject of development, for this reason it is feasible that the reproduction of the labor force is the thread of this proposal theoretical, recognizing in this process the replacement of capacities, generational replacement and family reproduction.
From the perspective that the labor force is proposed as a unit of analysis, it has an explicit place in the structure and dynamics of the value chains, in the relationships that occur between the actors, and in the actions related to the production and marketing of a product, highlighting its role as a factor and objective of production. It is recognized as one of the components that generate competitive advantages, taking into account the socioeconomic and cultural conditions in which it produces them and determine how they are produced, their disposition and capacity for their performance, key elements to add a qualitative value to strategic activities.
