The rural population of the Chobo parish in the Milagro canton is a rural area whose economic activity is based on agriculture, depending on agricultural production. In this socioeconomic study, Principal Component Analysis was applied, belonging to one of the multivariate techniques, with the objective of analyzing a large number of variables that reflect the socioeconomic reality of the rural population of the parish. With the application of this descriptive statistical technique, the 198 observations were obtained as a result that this rural area presents great difficulty in aspects of development and quality of life.
