VELAZQUEZ-TEJEDA, Miriam Encarnación; CRUZATA-MARTINEZ, Alejandro; FLORES-CHIRINOS, Javier O.  e  JIMENEZ-CHUMACERO, Rosa Victoria. Critical thinking: a challenge of current education. Conrado [online]. 2023, vol.19, n.91, pp. 125-131.  Epub 30-Abr-2023. ISSN 1990-8644.

Fostering critical thinking in students in university classrooms is a permanent priority in professional careers; however, teaching practice reveals deficiencies that prevent its exercise. The objective of the study is oriented to analyze the causes that affect its development in the students of the first cycle of the career of Law of a university in Lima. The study is based on the qualitative methodological approach in educational research. The sample taken by convenience is made up of 20 students and four teachers who are in charge of teaching. Different empirical techniques were applied to show the real state of the problem. The selection was made considering that students in this cycle require the promotion of critical thinking during their studies and, in this sense, the project method, due to its reflective nature in the analysis of problems, favors the construction of knowledge and performance in university processes. Based on this, a methodological proposal was designed that arises from the process of theoretical systematization and the causes that indicate the critical thinking revealed in the field diagnosis.
