This article is the result of an investigation of the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Master's Degree in Optometry and Optics, of the Faculty of Health Technology, our purpose is to share with the scientific community some fundamentals that will be taken into account when preparing an educational guide in health for Glaucoma associated with chronic diseases, which contributes to the professional performance allowing the improvement in the pedagogical professional performance of health technologists in Optics and Optometry, and is in correspondence with the aspirations of the Ministry of Education. The works carried out by outstanding exponents of Cuban pedagogy that support the educational guide in health that is conceived as a result of the Master's research are taken as a basis.
