The fundamental objective of this work is to demonstrate how the puppet theater contributes to the formation of communicative competence in students of Primary Education. From this perspective, the overcoming of the primary teacher is promoted, in the didactic and methodological order, in the use of puppet theater for the formation of communicative competence, as an alternative within the educational teaching process. In this way, the quality of education is raised and it contributes to the comprehensive training of students at the primary level. It is based as a fundamental premise, on the importance of puppet theater in the development of communicative competence within the teaching-learning process, from the Spanish Language subject. The criteria of some experts on the subject are taken into account, based on the study of different references, both national and international authors.
