Cuba is currently undergoing the third process of improvement of the National Education System, during which a new curriculum is being designed. This paper deals with the methodology used by the Intensive Working Group for the design of the general education curriculum, which was collectively constructed and systematised by the author as part of her doctoral training. The methodology has a general objective; three closely related levels of concretion; forms of implementation and forms of evaluation. Results obtained from its implementation in practice are presented.
