Cuban higher education today has dissimilar challenges, among them the need to open new paths that contribute to the strengthening of cultural identity in students, based on multiple reasoning methods and open conclusions, from the first educational levels to the university. The article aims to socialize the experiences derived from the project "The training of the professional from the sociocultural transformation in the Jesús María neighborhood. TRANSFORM YOU”. It presents, based on the community diagnosis of the sample, that they inhabit a community in a situation of vulnerability where the potentialities and needs of their sociocultural context and the determination of regularities are also evident. As strengths: the willingness to participate in actions, endogenous cultural potential: popular cultivators, educational, cultural and religious institutions, with experience in the socialization of their knowledge. Regarding deficiencies: the insufficiency of a uniting entity that organizes the actions that up to now have been developed in a dispersed, improvised manner and without the necessary integration of the elements that make up the community and consequently, propose applying actions that make up a strategy of accompaniment and sociocultural transformation, from the training of the professional of the Artistic Education career at the University of Sancti Spíritus José Martí.
