Background: the reverted rotation as teaching strategy, guarantees the development of abilities in the students that cannot be reached in the predominant teaching-assistance setting. Objective: to present the level of satisfaction of the professors and the fourth year students on the reverted rotation, in their Pediatrics rotation, during the academic year 2013-2014. Methods: it was carried out a longitudinal descriptive study, to assess the criteria of the fourth year students and the professors on the reverted rotation, in the Pediatrics rotation in both settings (Primary and Secondary health care) in Villa Clara University of Medical Sciences. Theoretical methods were used: analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction and empiric ones, the survey to students and professors for the scientific foundation of the investigation. The qualitative information was properly triangulated. Results: the reverted rotation in Pediatrics was satisfactorily developed in both settings , as it was revealed by the professors and the students, in the applied questionnaire where most of the interviewees qualified it as excellent; the tutors and the professors in the different settings and rotations were also satisfied with the students´ knowledge acquisition, and they mainly qualified the rotation as well and very well, facts that speak in favor that it was successful in the analyzed period. Conclusions: prevalence of favorable criteria was verified in the pupils and in the professors, which shows the degree of satisfaction with the development of the reverted rotation in Pediatrics during that period.
