Objective:
The paper aims at describing a strategy for mathematics teacher professional improvement in the Dominican Republic.
Methods:
The authoress rely on theoretical framework construction, descriptive and historical reviewing, and modeling.
Results:
The main results are a referent model and a strategy for managing mathematics teacher professional improvement in the Dominican Republic.
Conclusions:
The model and the strategy devised lead to the achievement of pertinent high quality levels of mathematics teacher professional improvement.
