The present research was approached from the perspective of the performance of women in Ecuadorian politics, that is why the research work was focused on women who are part of the indigenous peoples and communities of Ecuador, which is currently defined as a violation of their political rights, when these rights were violated, it triggered a series of consequences such as discrimination, not only by Ecuadorians but also by the inhabitants of the same communities. To associate this category, the use of secondary sources is used to demonstrate the discrimination that exists in Ecuador against indigenous women and to send a message of awareness. The results obtained were as follows: It was evidenced that the right of political participation of indigenous women is violated because the State, which guarantees gender equality and non-discrimination.
