ABSTRACT The growing demand for food in the country has demanded an increase in agricultural production levels, and with it, the increase of irrigation systems. Among the most widespread are the central pivot systems, but their large number and variety makes difficult their optimal configuration, generating an overexploitation of the natural resources such as water, undermining the sustainability of agriculture and the country. For this reason, the objective of this research was to implement a software that allows to obtain the best configuration of these equipments, taking into account the crops characteristics, soil features and meteorological information, in order to ensure the maximal performance of these irrigation systems. As a result, a software solution was done, that is capable of performing the calculations such that the value of water delivered by the system is closer to the estimated needs for a crop in each of its phases. To prove this, an experimental study was carried out under field conditions at the Ciego de Avila agricultural enterprise La Cuba; It showed that, with the use of the software, there was a saving of up to 94,5% of the water previously misused. In addition, the quantity of water used allows the plant to be in better conditions to achieve its optimal performance. This solution presents as a benefit, an intuitive and minimalist interface showing the field information in real time.
